Chapter 1

Sixteen na ngayon si Devon. Nag-aaral sya sa isang exclusive school si Devon kasama ang kapatid nya. Senior HS na sya. Ang kapatid naman nyang si Kyra ay Junior HS. Sya ay matalino, maganda at mabait pa rin. Pinag-papaaral pa rin sila ng mga Castillo, at hindi nila sinasayang ang pagtititiwala ng mga ito. Pareho silang top students ng kanilang year. Marami rin namang manliligaw ang dalawa. Sa bahay pa rin ng mga Castillo sila nakatira. Sila ang parang naging caretaker ng bahay na yun. Pitong taon na rin ang lumipas.

"Ate, may party daw sa bahay nina Fretzie, punta tayo," sabi ni Kyra. "Paalam muna tayo kay nanay."

Samantala sa Australia.......
"Come on! Let's party!" sigaw ni James. Si James ay kabaliktaran ng James na sweet noon. Nag-rebelde sya. Di na nag-aaral ng mabuti, at palaging nagpa-party. Di na rin sya nakikinig sa kanyang magulang. Ang tanging taong pinapakinggan nya ay ang kaniyang matalik na kaibigan na sina Bret and Ivan. Half- Filipino rin sina Bret and Ivan. "Dude, let's go. I'm tired already. And you're already wasted!" ani ni Ivan. "I'm not wasted dude!" James said. "Fine. We'll leave you here," Bret said to James. "Fine, let's go."

When he got home, he saw his parents waiting for him. He just acted as if they weren't there. "James, come and sit here," his faher said. He had no other choice but to sit down. "James, we're worried about you," said his dad. "You don't need to worry about me. I'm fine," he replied. His father acted as if he didn't heard him. "We'll send you back to the Philippines," his dad said. "What!? You asked me to go here seven years ago, then you're asking to go back there now?? I have a life here. I have friends here," James said, furious. "We already asked Bret and Ivan's parents about this, and they agreed to let Bret and Ivan come with you. You have no choice," his father said. He marched into his room.

He lay down on his bed, still furious. "Devon hates me, I don't want to go back there," he thought. Sometimes, he dreams of her crying face. That's why he rebelled against his parents. He thinks that it's all their fault. He can never forgive them until Devon forgives him. "I'll use this chance. Devon, I hope you'll forgive me........"
